Well, as some of you guys may have noticed, whether it be my YouTube or deviant art account, or any other way of getting to you guys, I do not participate in April Fools jokes. I've been asked a few times why I don't, and I'd actually would like to say why.
Well, it is not because of me being a bad liar. On the contrary, people have told me I can get to good at it, to the point where they cannot tell when I'm telling the truth, and that concerned me greatly, especially late middle school early high school. I always wanted to be as truthful as possible, even making it difficult for myself to tell even the tiniest of fibs.
I'd say my last "prank" was around middle school. Everyone by then knew how much I hated being deceived, so they did not expect me to do an April Fools joke. It was a little one, one that is forgettable right now, but it caused a surprisingly big uproar, especially since I had no friends in middle school. It got to the point that I felt like April Fools is too good of something for me, so I decided not to try anymore. It got to the point that the next few years people didn't believe what I said on April 1st, even if it was heartfelt, and that's why I never decided to do it again.
I've grown past that to being one of the few people who you can trust on that day. I've gone into actually proving my sources for any time when I told someone "trust me". I wanted people to, in fact, trust me, even on April 1st. Also, like I said before, I don't like being deceived, so that adds to me wanting to be truthful, even on the day you get a free pass.
I hope you guys understand now why I don't participate in those things. Bye for now!
